An electric, a concept, and a new car in Chicago

News coming out of this week's Chicago Auto Show included the unveiling of Ford's updated Edge and electric Transit Connect, Honda's concept Odyssey, and a radical new rear seat entertainment system from Volvo. The Odyssey concept is a stepping stone to the 2011 production Odyssey, and won't change much between now and when it goes on sale this fall. Ford's Transit Connect Electric also goes on sale in the fall, and should attract customers seeking a green, urban delivery truck with low operating costs. The new Edge debuts the new MyFord cabin tech interface, which uses three LCDs to help drivers easily access navigation, entertainment, phone, and climate controls. And Volvo's new entertainment system uses Windows XP and a 500 gigabyte drive, letting parents load movies, music, and games to keep the kids occupied during trips to grandma's house.
