What it is: Sudden unintended acceleration, or SUA, refers to incidents when a vehicle quickly and unexpectedly takes off or speeds up for no apparent reason. SUA has been blamed for many crashes and deaths involving vehicles from many different manufacturers, resulting in the biggest recall in automotive history.

Salami recall: Is your grocery store on the list?
The U.S. Department of Agriculture today released the names of the retailers that sold ready-to-eat meats that were part of the 1.24 million pounds of sausage products recalled by Daniele International over the weekend because the meat may be contaminated with salmonella.

Tinkerbell's fairy dust laced with lead
It's a wonder Tinkerbell could fly, carrying all that heavy metal. Turns out she can't. Yesterday, Playmates Toys, of Costa Mesa, CA, recalled 252,000 Disney-branded Tinkerbell charms for lead content that exceeds federal limits.

Graco recalls 1.5 million strollers after fingertip amputations
After five children lost their fingertips when they were caught in a stroller hinge, Graco has recalled 1.5 million strollers. The company has also received reports of at least two lacerations.
