Instead, he chose bed-rest and treatment for flu-like symptoms, and had some of his teammates shake down his Shootout car.
So much for the adage that “practice makes perfect.”
Harvick led five times for 21 laps, including the final two, to win the 76-lap, 190-mile, non-points exhibition Shootout.
