Hands on with the Chevy Volt

On a drizzly Tuesday morning, we got our first chance to drive a car that may transform the automotive landscape. GM brought a Chevy Volt to town so we could get some seat time with it. Admittedly, we were restricted to laps around a parking lot cone course, but the car running off its batteries the entire time. Overall, our impressions of it are favorable, and we are eager to put many more miles on a production model when they start rolling off the assembly line late this year.
