Kia and Hyundai own New York auto show

By the time the New York auto show rolls around, most automakers have already shown their hand at Los Angeles, Detroit, and Geneva shows. However, Hyundai and Kia held back, showing a poker face, taking the spotlight at the New York show with multiple unveilings. These sister brands are in the midst of a major transformation that should result in more respect and sales. Sonata and Optima both have new turbo and hybrid power trains, while Hyundai reaches for the stars with a high-end luxury vehicle.

I've had this idea in my head for a while now: Instead of GPS, just lace the road lane lines with RF chips that contain location, elevation and other vital info, like upcoming turn, emergencies, etc. It would be a piece of cake to make that bot follow the lines.  Read more
