New on CanadianDriver

First Drive: 2011 Ford Mustang by Paul Williams
New 3.7-litre V6 and 5.0-litre V8 engines in the 2011 Mustang combined with new six-speed manual and automatic transmissions provide significantly more horsepower and better fuel economy, reports Senior Editor, Paul Williams. 2011 Mustangs will go on sale here in late spring.
Test Drive: 2010 Infiniti FX35 by Jil McIntosh
The Infiniti FX35 puts the "sporty" in SUV, says Assistant Editor Jil McIntosh, who reports that its handling is as close to a sports car as you'll get. Don't expect happy rear-seat passengers in those cramped quarters, though, she warns.
Day-by-Day Review: 2011 Kia Sorento EX-V6 by James Bergeron
The Sorento is quiet and smooth both on the highway and around town, and the V6 has power to spare in most situations, says James. Front seat comfort seems to depend on whose behind you ask, though.
Made in Canada: 2010 Lexus RX 350 and Acura MDX, Part two by Paul Williams and Grant Yoxon
Both these Canadian-built luxury SUVs offer all-weather capability, a roomy cabin and cargo-carrying utility but one leans towards luxury and high-end interior finishings while the other stresses handling and performance.
Inside Story: 2010 Acura RDX by Michael Clark
Having previously reviewed the 2009 Acura RDX's interior, Inside Story author Michael Clark had the opportunity to see if its weak points had been improved in the 2010 RDX. Some things have, but some things haven't, he notes.
Used Vehicle Review: Infiniti M35/M45, 2006-2010 by Chris Chase
The M35/45 looks like one of the more predictably reliable cars in its class, even faring better than the Lexus GS in long-term reliability, says Contributing Editor, Chris Chase. "My only advice would be to avoid the trouble-prone navigation option."
Feature: 2010 Vancouver Auto Show highlights by Greg Wilson
Though not quite as big or as flashy as past Vancouver auto shows, the 2010 Vancouver auto show is displaying over 400 new vehicles, from the economical new Ford Fiesta to the slightly less economical Ferrari 16M Scuderia Spider, reports Editor-in-chief, Greg Wilson.
Modern Classics: Honda S2000, 2000-2009 by Jeff Burry
The Honda S2000 is truly a driver's sports car, says reviewer Jeff Burry. Its remarkable normally aspirated 2.0-litre DOHC VTEC four-cylinder engine produces a whopping 240 horsepower and has a "redline" of 9,000 screaming r.p.m.s, he says.
Auto Tech: All-wheel drive vs four-wheel drive by Jim Kerr
Technical Editor, Jim Kerr, explains the differences between four-wheel drive systems and all-wheel drive systems and how and why they operate on different road surfaces and weather conditions.
Book Review: Collector's Originality Guides by Russell Purcell
Written for muscle car restorers by acknowledged muscle car experts, these two books "impart valuable knowledge, tips, and information to enthusiasts who need an accurate reference guide to the trail of documentation tied to a car," says reviewer Russell Purcell.
Steering You Right: Excuses for not stopping at a stop sign by Jordan W. Charness
Stop sign violations are the second-most frequently issued tickets by police (after speeding tickets), says lawyer Jordan Charness. Motorists who go to court to defend themselves often have some inventive excuses for not stopping, he says.
