-- Bugatti gets its record back! -- A bigger X6 is in the works, -- Oh boy! A Range Rover Sport R!
Volkswagen's Bugatti side project lost its “World's Fastest Production Car” record not too long ago, because Guinness -- who, for whatever reason, is in charge of keeping track of this stuff -- figured out that Bugatti turned off the speed limiter on its Bugatti Veyron Super Sport when they set the world record. While customer cars are speed-limited to 258 mph, the Bugatti that set the record hit 267.8 mph. So, from that we can infer that the Veyron is safer at 258 mph than it is at 267.8.
Anyway, don't fret Bugatti owners: Guinness reversed their decision. Why? Who knows, the press ... |
