The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups get a stiffer frame and cab as well as high-tech upgrades and three engine options.

I'm Natalie with a Friday edition of Autoweek TV.

General Motors yesterday revealed the redesigned 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. Upgrades include a stiffer frame and cab and a revamped interior with video screens and wireless connectivity. Three engines will be offered: a 4.3-liter V6, a 5.3-liter V8 and the new 6.2-liter LT1.

Cylinder deactivation will conserve fuel on all models, and six-speed automatics will be standard. We'll see the Sierra and Silverado in Detroit in January....
