ALERT: NASCAR announces second Hall of Fame class

David Pearson, shown in 1961, was named to the NASCAR Hall of Fame's second class on Wednesday. The legendary driver finished his career with 105 victories.

There were two major surprises on Wednesday afternoon when NASCAR announced the second five-man class for its Hall of Fame.
As introduced by NASCAR chairman and CEO Brian France, the Class of 2011 includes four drivers and an owner.
The Class of 2011:
Bobby Allison: One of NASCAR's most popular drivers had a 718-start career between 1961 and a horrific crash at Pocono in 1988. He won 58 poles and 84 races (he says 85) and the 1983 Cup for DiGard Racing.
Among his wins are three Daytona 500s and 27 others at Atlanta, Charlotte, Darlington, Daytona Beach, Michigan and Talladega.
He won with 12 owners, including himself, Cotton Owens, Holman-Moody, Mario Rossi, Richard Howard, Roger Penske, Bud Moore, Harry Ranier and the Stavola brothers. Few have given more...
