CanadianDriver was on the ground at the press preview for the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Monday and Tuesday. We covered all the new vehicle reveals. 
The 42nd annual Montreal International Auto Show opened Friday at the Palais de Congres de Montreal. Contributing Editor Chris Chase took an advance tour of the show and summarizes the highlights. Paul Williams brought his camera along. 
Unveiled at the Detroit auto show on Monday, the production version of the sporty Honda CR-Z hybrid hatchback is the spiritual successor to the first Insight hybrid, and the original CRX hatchbacks, says contributor Brian Early. The two-seater hybrid goes on sale here in late summer. 
Equipped with a 158-hp 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine and on-demand all-wheel drive system, the Matrix XR AWD has plenty of power and traction for winter driving, says Contributing Editor Chris Chase, but he questions its value-for-money relative to its competitors. 
Replacing the Spectra, the new Kia Forte compact sedan is handsome, powerful and priced well, says Contributing Editor, Chris Chase, but there are some interior quality and driveability issues, he says. 
Roomy and comfortable, the mid-size 2010 Camry sedan benefits from a slightly more powerful and fuel-efficient 2.5-litre four-cylinder base engine and new six-speed automatic transmission, reports contributor, Jeff Burry. 
James agrees with reader comments that the SHO is a little expensive, but maintains that the sheer amount of technology helps make it worth the price. The high level of comfort to be found inside doesn't hurt, either. 
A more modern and European-inspired cabin than GM interiors of the past, the new Chevy Equinox's roomy cabin impressed interior reviewer Michael Clark with its many cool and useful features. Criticisms were few. 
A lack of accurate reliability information makes it tough to judge what this car would be like for the long term, says Contributing Editor, Chris Chase. "For the price, however, the Galant is a lot of car," he says. 
Influenced by the Raymond Loewy styled "coming or going" 1947 Studebaker, the Rover 75 was luxuriously appointed in the traditional British manner, and was smooth and quiet but "not very fast", says auto historian, Bill Vance.
