However, 2010 looks promising, as we identified 12 cars that will finally hit the streets. There's the long-awaited Chevy Volt, coming out late this year, and the Fisker Karma, another interesting hybrid, makes its production debut.
Supercars from Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz will also roll out of the factory. Some cars, while relatively mundane on the surface, show off new technologies that we can't wait to try out. We're talking about smartphone app integration in the Lincoln MKX and handwriting recognition in the Audi A8 as two examples.

Electric motors respond very quickly. Electrons moving at nearly the speed of light just kick butt over a bunch of molecules that need to combust before a mechanical state can change.
