Lotus has an incredibly strong ethos on how to build cars, using its own engineering for the chassis, emphasizing lightness and rigidity. These qualities result in cars that handle exceptionally well. While the company's latest effort, the Evora, can accommodate drivers up to 6-foot-5-inches tall and has quality interior materials, it does not deviate from the Lotus' formula. It is a racecar for the street that manages to get excellent fuel economy while hitting 60 mph in less than 5 seconds. We took it around the track at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and then spent some time driving roads around Monterey, Calif.
