Read more 2011 Kia Sorento EX V6 AWD Road Test Review For the 2011 model year, everything but the name is new for the Kia Sorento midsize Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV), the first Kia to be built in the U.S. at the company's new Kia Motor Manufacturing Georgia facility in West Point, Georgia. The new Sorento is now based on the same platform as the Santa Fe from sister company Hyundai, a big change from the 4x4 capable body-on-frame design of the outgoing Sorento.
