The weekend is here again, which means two things if you're lucky: A couple of days of well-deserved rest and, even more important, another round of professional racing across various major-league series. Here's our weekly guide to what, when and where to watch.
Izod IndyCar Series Iowa Corn Indy 250
Dario Franchitti is the driver to watch this weekend at Iowa Speedway, as he has won both of his races at the 0.875-mile oval that Rusty Wallace helped build in Newton, Iowa.
Franchitti won in 2007 and 2009. Dan Wheldon won in 2008 when Franchitti was in NASCAR.
Ryan Briscoe, who won the most recent IndyCar race at Texas Motor Speedway two weeks ago, finished second at Iowa last year, so keep an eye on him, too. Hideki Mutoh also has performed well at the track,... |
