Four-time Champ Car title winner Sebastien Bourdais scored the provisional pole position during the two-hour session with a time of 3 minutes, 19.711 seconds. That shaded Peugeot teammate and former Formula One driver Alex Wurz by just over half a second and was nearly four seconds quicker than the best Audi R15 TDI. Peugeot's four 908 HDi FAP LMP1 prototypes hogged the first two rows on the provisional grid. Stephane Sarrazin, who is bidding for a fourth consecutive pole position at Le Mans, ended up third in the final factory Peugeot, while the semi-factory car run by the French ORECA team was fourth fastest in the...
