Jimmie Johnson wins record fourth straight NASCAR title; Hamlin wins race

Jimmie Johnson took fifth place at the Ford 400 to secure his record-setting fourth consecutive Sprint Cup Sunday night at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Denny Hamlin led the final 56 laps to win the race.
Johnson's victory broke a tie with Cale Yarborough, the only other driver with three consecutive Cups (1976-78). Johnson started the race 108 points ahead of Mark Martin (he was mediocre en route to finishing 12th) and outran him most of the night to win the Cup by 141 points.
It was Hamlin's fourth win this year, his first at the 1.5-mile track south of Miami and the eighth of his career.
He won by 2.633 seconds over Jeff Burton (Chevrolet), Kurt Busch (Dodge), Kevin Harvick (Chevrolet), Johnson (Chevrolet), Kyle Busch (Toyota), Jeff Gordon (Chevrolet), Carl Edwards and AJ...
