$For the Tesla Roadster's second model year, it gets a trim and interior update. The new Sport trim model is faster to 60 mph than the original due to an improved electric power train. We spent a day with the car, putting it through performance paces and digging through the cabin tech. And what we can report is a car with the most advanced power train available today. In no other production car can you get to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, get a realistic range of about 200 miles, and drive with no emissions, spending a fraction of what it would cost to fill a gasoline or diesel tank. Although the Roadster is a niche vehicle with minimal passenger and cargo capacity, its power train portends greater things to come.$
