The Scottsdale auctions took place over the weekend, and the original George Barris-designed Batmobile sold for a jaw-dropping $4.62 million.

Meanwhile, race team owner and car dealer Rick Hendrick scooped up a pair of prize Corvettes. He spent nearly $1.1 million to buy the first 2014 Corvette Stingray, and $270,000 on a '58 Vette that was owned by GM CEO Dan Akerson. Money...
