2012 Nissan Versa investigated over air-bag-safety concerns
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into 2012 Nissan Versa sedans because Nissan discovered that pinched wiring in the steering wheel could short-circuit, preventing the Versa's front air bags from deploying.

Safety Mr. Coffee recalls coffeemakers after reports of 61 burn injuries
More than 600,000 single-serve coffeemakers have been recalled by Mr. Coffee in the U.S. and Canada because a buildup of steam in the coffeemaker's water reservoir can force the brewing chamber open, spitting out hot coffee grounds and water. There have been 61 reports of burns to consumers' faces, upper torsos and hands and 164 reports of the brewing chamber opening due to steam pressure.

Safety Summer Infant bath seats recalled due to fall danger
More than 2,000,000 Summer Infant baby bath seats are being recalled in North America, warn the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada. The company's Mother's Touch and Deluxe Baby Bathers can suddenly collapse when parents lift them, dropping the baby out of the bather, posing a fall hazard and a risk of serious head injury.

Safety CareBear baby pacifiers recalled due to choking hazard
More than 119,000 CareBear pacifiers have been recalled by importer IDM Group LLC for failing to meet federal safety standards. The silicone nipple on the recalled baby pacifiers can separate and pose a choking hazard to infants.

Safety 21,000 Kenmore, LG dryers recalled due to fire hazard
LG Electronics and Sears have recalled 21,000 LG Electronics and Kenmore Elite gas dryers because the gas valve can fail to shut off, continuing to heat the dryer and its contents after the drying cycle is done. High temperatures inside and on the exterior surface of the dryers can scorch the drum, as well as burn or damage the dryer contents, posing a risk of burn, fire, and smoke inhalation.
