 |  | Paying more for a mattress doesn't always mean higher satisfaction. Nor does buying from a major retailer. Lying down on the mattress for at least 10 minutes in the store is still the best way to find the right mattress. Good cleaning, high efficiency, and large capacities are common features of the newest washers, but so are long cycles, and it's getting harder to find a good washing machine for less than $1,000. Prices have also climbed for clothes dryers, but their performance hasn't changed. In our top 15 laundry detergents Tide is one of three top picks for conventional detergents, and accounts for half of those for high-efficiency washers. We also found subpar performers that won't get your clothes as clean. |
