Electrics dominate the LA auto show

The 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show is in full swing, and with cars such as the Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, Honda Fit EV, and Toyota Rav4 EV on display, electric drives are clearly coming our way. But we've also seen the drool-worthy Camaro Convertible, the futuristic Nissan Ellure concept, and the questionable Nissan Cross-Cabriolet. The power-mad can take a look at the 2012 Nissan GT-R update, and the stylish will enjoy the fashionable Fiat 500. Also check out Mini's new iPhone integration and a revised UConnect infotainment system from Chrysler.

Volvo is taking its C30 Drive Electric concept to the next level and adding a hydrogen fuel cell to extend the EV's 94-mile range, creating a hybrid hydrogen-electric plug-in. The fuel cell will add another 155 miles of range, but what's really interesting is the way Volvo plans on sourcing the hydrogen: from gasoline.  Read more
