Dallara named IndyCar chassis supplier for 2012

Dallara has been named the chassis supplier for the Izod IndyCar Series for 2012.
The company's design beat out four other proposals and will launch in competition in 18 months.
IndyCar made the announcement on Wednesday. Dallara has provided race-car underpinnings for the series since the mid-1990s.
The weight of the new setup is expected to be about 1,380 pounds, and teams will be able to choose their own aerodynamic configurations.
The chassis will be built in Indianapolis, near the Speedway at a new facility for Dallara....
