FDA proposes first-ever action level for arsenic in juice | In a historic move, the FDA has proposed guidance for limiting arsenic in apple juice. Last year, our tests showed that arsenic and lead levels found in apple and grape juice sometimes exceeded federal limits for drinking water. We continue to urge FDA to release arsenic data from rice samples it's collected. Our own tests and analysis of arsenic in rice prompted us to call for tighter government regulation.
