"In simple terms, the 408-hp (911 Carrera) GTS bridges the gap between the 385-hp Carrera S and the bust-your-gut hard core 435-hp GT3," says Peter Bleakney. "On the road, it's much closer…to the reasonably civilized Carrera S," he says. 
To find an SUV with the same level of refinement, luxury, power and off-road ability as the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee with the optional 5.7-litre V8, you'd have to start looking at much more expensive luxury SUVs, asserts editor, Greg Wilson. 
With an engine of "unparalleled smoothness" and a "silky-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission," the new 528i "is a total pleasure to drive," says Paul Williams. His only quibble is the accelerator, "which on occasion either doesn't give enough or gives too much." 
With a substantial horsepower increase and a drop in price, the V8-powered Infiniti M56S is a good value, says Haney Louka, and it "comes with an exhaustive list of features." But he wasn't crazy about the car's four-wheel steering system. 
Though the fourth-generation Hyundai Elantra has proven as reliable as the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, its resale values are much lower, making it a "terrific bargain," says Chris Chase. 
Famous Indy race car builder, Frank Kurtis, built his own sports car using a Ford chassis and V8 engine, and while it got rave reviews from the motoring media, it was just too expensive and only 16 were built. 
Resembling the 1968 Mustang GT 390 used in the action film "Bullitt" which starred actor Steve McQueen, the 2001 Ford Mustang Bullitt was essentially a modified Mustang GT painted in the same Dark Highland Green colour.
